Aartco has been involved in high voltage substation projects since the early 1980's, when it was the subcontractor of BBC Brown Boveri and other well known international firms on some important SEC-EOA substations. That experience included 69kV substations, such as the ones at King Fahd International Airport and Ministry of Defense and Aviation facility near Dhahran; 230kV substations such as the ones at Berri and Ghunnan; 380kV substations such as the ones at Shedum and Farras.This division takes responsibility for the design, procurement and installation of substation equipment. the lead in ensuring that all electrical, mechanical and civil engineering are properly coordinated. Some projects are linked to high voltage cable projects while others are stand alone substation contracts. Aartco has the ability to choose the most appropriate and cost effective components to meet technical requirements, without regard to promotion of any one manufacturer's products. Aartco engineers have the expertise to ensure suitability of equipment design conformance with specifications and compatibility between components, as well as overall design of the substation.
